After almost thirty minutes of attempting to stealthily approach this flock of sand hill cranes they burst skyward in a blinding wall of feathers and bird bodies. It was actually somewhat eerie because they are so slow flying. I was reminded of an old movie I saw as a child “The Birds”. |
