This image is that of an example of an Eskimo Potato wildflower. It grows on rocky alpine slopes and roadsides and open forests throughout most of Alaska except Southeastern and the Aleutian Chain. This particular specimen was photographed in Paxson State Park which is approximately 180 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska
